The only thing that is stopping me right now is the fact that I should just fucking open up my mouth once in my life and tell my parents about it. I’m not even afraid of my dad. I’m scared at the thought of telling all this to my mom. I don’t even want to go through that stage. It exhausts me physically and mentally, and that happens every fucking time I tell her I don’t know what to do with my life. I feel exhausted for days after our talk.

I just need to be brave once in my life. I just need to find “the right” path and be a bit happier for doing something I enjoy doing. Or maybe I just need to stop thinking about what my mom may say and just do it.

Fui al Centro Cultural Borges a ver la exposición de fotos de Bob Gruen. Me encantó, está muy buena. Aproveché para sacar varias fotos con mi cámara Holga, aunque tuve un pequeño inconveniente (y espero que se transforme en esas "desgracias con suerte"): saqué tres fotos a tres objetos distintos y me olvidé de correr el rollo. Ojalá que se transforme en una foto con triple exposición. Y si no sucede nada, no importa. Cuando me di cuenta, volví a sacar las fotos corriendo el rollo como corresponde.

Cuando me cansé, fui a Starbucks a comprar mi merienda: Tea Lemonade de Hibiscus y una porción de budín de jengibre. Como no había lugar para sentarme, fui a Plaza San Martín porque quería sacarle fotos a la Torre de los Ingleses. Volví a usar la cámara Holga. Merendé ahí y después volví a casa.

Cociné bifes a la criolla solita y preparé un bizcochuelo de vainilla para el cumpleaños de mi tía.

Después de tres años, fui a caminar al parque. ¡Cuántos recuerdos! Solía ir con mi profesora Mónica y al principio no quería porque mi mamá me obligaba a caminar, pero después me di cuenta de que Mónica era una de las personas más amables y geniales, así que me terminó gustado.

Y recuerdo cómo antes de salir de mi casa, chateaba con Dan y hablábamos sobre comer yogur con cereales. Y después seguíamos escribiéndonos mensajes de texto. Y siempre le decía que me subía a las hamacas antes de empezar a caminar, y que un día íbamos a ir juntos al parque a hamacarnos.

Y pensar que me gustaba mucho Dan. Y pensar que siempre hablaba sobre él mientras caminaba. Y pensar que después de tres años, no me gusta más, ni aunque sea un poquito.

El miércoles volveré para recordar más cosas mientras camino y disfruto de la música en mi iPod.

cada día que me preocupo por las elecciones.

Cada vez que en mi casa discuten sobre los candidatos, me voy a mi habitación porque no tolero sus comentarios. Hoy la tía de mi mamá (votó en la Ciudad, pero en realidad está viviendo en San Martín) dijo: "Yo voté a Macri para no votar a Filmus". Está bien, cada uno hace lo que le parece correcto. En mi opinión, es un acto muy hipócrita y más sabiendo que esa persona no vive en la Ciudad de Buenos Aires.

Mi gran problema es que no sé a quién elegir. Me parece hipócrita de mi parte no tener preferencia por ningún candidato y criticar a otra persona por su elección. Siento que no estoy preparada para tomar una decisión tan importante como ésta; estoy completamente confundida.

Las elecciones en el LV me ayudaron a crecer como persona, porque me lo tomé en serio, como se debe. Pero votar ahí es "más fácil" que votar en las elecciones presidenciales.

Cada día que pasa, cada día que me preocupo por las elecciones.

My Birthday

Well, my day so far has been great. I’m really happy for the large amount of messages I got on Facebook, Twitter and Tumblr.

Bad things: I couldn’t sleep last night. I went to bed at 2AM, though I had to get up at 6.30AM. But I couldn’t sleep. I think I finally fell asleep at 4.30AM, and then I woke up an hour later thinking that I was probably late for work, which I wasn’t.

When I got home, my mom had cooked fish ‘n’ chips. Like, okay, I’m not English, and I don’t know how fish ‘n’ chips is served, but I told my mom I wanted that for my birthday. And I must say it was delicious! I took a photo of my dish.

And then, we had tea for dessert. She didn’t have the time to bake a cake for me, but she bought this chocolate pudding (Note: I don’t know if ‘pudding’ is the correct word to describe what I ate, so I’m sorry if it’s not ‘pudding’.) And then she put some candies over it. I love candies. And I always want my mom to decorate my cake with candies, but she never does. And this is “my cake”.

And I don’t know. I haven’t opened any gift yet. I mean, I bought myself a gift yesterday, but I already knew what it was, so it doesn’t count.

I have to go to uni tonight. I have an English test. I really hope I pass it, even though I haven’t studied. It’s not thaaat hard, I just had to study properly, you know. And I think I’m seeing the hot teacher. Actually, I’m really looking forward to seeing him because he’s very cute, and it’s my birthday.

So, this has been a birthday post! I’d upload a photo of myself with a happy-birthday face, but I’m looking quite awful today :( really.

I went out with a friend of mine to buy some Interpol CD’s. Well, actually she was buying them. She got Antics and Interpol.
We accidentally ran into miss-sofia in the street, and I couldn’t believe it. We were actually going to meet, but by that time we hadn’t arranged anything! So, we went to the place I bought the CD’s. And we stayed there for a lot of time. It was really funny because I was with this friend of mine, and Sofía was with another four or five friends, and they spoke in Portuguese, and me and Sofía spoke in English. Then her friends left, and we went to Starbucks to have some coffee. Well, we actually had tea, but nevermind. And we talked like a lot! And we laughed a lot, too. And then, we went to a mall, but it was already closing, so we couldn’t hang out there that much. And then we kept on talking in the street, I was frozing to death, but I didn’t want to leave. And after an hour, we left and went back home.
And I don’t know. It’s been one of those days when something unexpected happens, and it’s really good, but you’re still shocked. I am still shocked. But it’s a good feeling, you know. And I don’t know, I had one of the most amazing days of my life. I’m not even kidding. I wish I could to Río one day to visit her!
I also bought Julian Plenti's album, and it was very cheap, and I'm so happy about that.
